Writing
As with reading the best way to develop your writing skills is PRACTICE PRACTICE
PRACTICE!
But first lets learn a few things about basic story telling.
Stories are great pieces of writing that keep us interested when we read them and which
are quite fun to write!
There are 3 basic parts to any story, these are:
A beginning
A middle
and an end!
A very quick story example would be:
I woke up this morning, ate breakfast and went to school. I finished a big project.
Then went home and slept.
Beginning - I woke up this morning, ate breakfast and went to school.
Middle - I finished a big project.
End - Then went home and slept.
This is the basic structure of any story. Now to make the story interesting
we add details such as (using the example above) adding details about the project -
What project was it? Was the project hard? Did its completion result in some form of
reward?
Now its your turn!
Choose one of the following pictures and write a short story that is 5 lines long.
