PRONOUNS
Pronouns are words that take the place of the noun, when we want to avoid using the same noun over and over again.
An example of this is if we had the sentence:
The boy asked the boys' dad for money, because the boy wanted some ice cream.
We already know from the beginning of the sentence
that we are speaking about 'the boy'
because we've said so in the beginning.
to save space and avoid repeating ourselves we can use the
words 'he' and 'his' which refers to the boy we are speaking about.
The sentence will turn out like this:
The boy asked HIS dad for money, because HE wanted some ice cream
