QUESTIONS
Making questions with words is simple!
We simply need to use one of the five common question words
at the beginning of a sentence to make it a question.
These words are:
What - Where - When - Why - Who - Which & How?
Each of these important question words help you to ask for different things
e.g
What - helps you to ask for a thing.
What is your name?
What is that in your bag?
Where - helps you to ask for a place.
Where is the football game tonight?
Where is my lunch?
When - helps you to ask for the time.
When will the football match be on television?
When are you coming over to my house?
Why - helps you ask for a reason.
Why won't you help me carry the shopping?
Why should I spend so much money on a car?
Who - helps you to ask for a specific person or animal?
Who ate all the chips?
Who licked my plate?
Which - helps you to ask for an opinion or decision when a comparison is being made, or
to ask for a specific thing or person.
Which watch suits me better?
Which of you took my pencil?
How - helps you to ask for the manner in which something is being done, the process or
for how someone feels.
How did you bake this cake?
How are you?
How are you feeling?
How is a versatile question word, that when put together with other words, can help ask
for different things as well.
e.g
How long - will help you ask for a specific period of time
How long will the steak take to cook?
How many - will help you ask for an exact quantity
How many muffins are there in the tray?
How much - will help you ask for an inexact quantity
How much does that cost?
How often - will help you ask for frequency
How often does he go to gym?
As you may have noticed, a question mark (?) needs to be placed at the end
of each sentence to indicate that it is a question.
